Within the lush grounds of “Shri Kambliswamy Madam" is this delightful sculpture of Ganesha and his spouse holding trunks. Swami Kambliswamy was a Tamil Saint who died over a 100 years ago. A Madam is a graveyard for Saints " and to date an unbroken lineage of eight Swamiji’s are buried here, including Yogamaharishi Dr Swami Gitananda Giri Guru Maharaj .

In South India the great Swamis are interred sitting up, packed in a preservative (salt and a little rice flour) within a stone tomb (often marble) called a “Samadhi”.

Their Shakti (power radiance) permeates the entire area and special Pujas and Satsangs are held weekly. All night Pujas (such as Shiva Ratri) the power of their presence is overwhelming

This large magnificent carving of Shiva and Shakti locked in the 122nd position of Shiva's Tandava graces the entrance to Shri Kambliswamy Madam. Only one other such carving exists in India.

Entrance portal to the main GarbhaGriha (Sanctum Sanctorum) at Shri Kambliswamy Madam Shiva shrine. The black marbal altar with the Shiva Lingam is Swami Kambliswamy's Madam. Weekly Pujas are performed here as the spiritual focus point.
